I am delighted to be selected as the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Leigh- it really is a huge honour.

I am very proud to have been given the chance to represent your views and the issues that matter to you in the up-coming election.

In recent years many of you have become disillusioned with politics, with unemployment on the rise, your concerns about immigration not being listened to and indeed problems with the transport infrastructure across Leigh. Therefore I would like to take this opportunity to encourage as many of you as possible to get in touch with me. I want to hear your concerns about issues that affect you on a daily basis.

It is only a Conservative Government that can deliver real change to Leigh and as your candidate I am committed to working hard to campaign across the constituency to make that happen.

My top three priorities in Leigh:

• To tackle unemployment in the area and look at how we can help make Leigh a better place for new businesses to want to set up and to help kick start the economy
• Get better transport links in and around Leigh particularly important that we get rail links into the area
• Help hard working local families and help people get the incentive to go out and try and get employment
