Shazia is campaigning on the issues that matter to local people. She wants to make a real difference to life in the town.

Leigh Conservatives played an important part in saving a well-respected local primary school from closure and Shazia is working with the team to ensure that any changes to schools will deliver a better service for the children of the area.

As a successful entrepreneur, Shazia understands the value businesses can bring to a community and she is campaigning to make Leigh a more attractive place for businesses to want to set up and bring much needed employment into the area.

Leigh’s transport infrastructure is poor; Shazia is campaigning to bring a rail service back to the town and against the white elephant misguided bus way that residents don’t want. She wants to see an end to the removal of facilities from the town into Wigan and is campaigning against the removal of Leigh County Court to Wigan.
